From last night's @LaurentPerrierUK masterclass at @TasteofLondon where we learnt a little about Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé and about this historic #Champagne house founded in 1812. It got the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names, but, the 'rebirth' of this champagne house happened later when Bernard de Nonancourt (who had been part of the French Resistance during WWII) took over running the business. La Cuvée Rosé was created in 1968 and is a 100% pinot noir Champagne, with the distinctive pink colour coming from maceration. Our masterclass was in conjunction with Indie Ecology who told us how their farming practices were mirrored by the Champagne house - food was provided by IKOYI, serving some deliciously complex dishes including a wonderful Jollof rice and for dessert a fabulous tomato icecream which paired beautifully with the Cuvée Rosé champagne. #LoveLPRose #TasteofLondon #TasteofLondon2018 Definitely recommended if you are planning to go along to #TasteLondon #ikoyi #PrettyCityLondon #TBIN #TopLondonRestaurants #foodporn #LondonFoodBlog #LondonFoodBlogger #TimeOutLondon #TopLondonPhoto #VisitLondon #igersLondon #LoveLondon #IloveLondon #PrettylittleLondon
