Champagne! There are places in France which the minute you see them are just so obviously French they couldn't be anywhere else in the world. This is the Manoir de Verzy, owned by Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin since the end of the 19th century and was the former home of the vineyard managers. It is now used as a base for guests of the House. We were there to look out over some of the Grand Crus Vineyards, the finest ones in Champagne. The entire region is divided into different grades of champagne - Grand Crus, Premier Crus and the rest , all set by the Échelle des Crus. The rating forms the basis for the price paid to growers for their grapes. There are just 17 Grand Crus and 42 Premier Crus - out of a total of 320 villages. Honestly, I am happy with ANY champagne - though I have my own personal preferences...it's such a good way to #CelebrateLife - more coming soon on the blog! I've been in #Champagne for a few days exploring with the @ChampagneBureauUK the UK division of the French organisation @Champagne_Officiel that represents all the growers and Champagne Houses. #travelblogger #travelphotography #instagood #instatravel #igersfrance #guardiantravelsnap #picoftheday #travellife #instatravelling #lifestyleblogger #travelinstyle #londonblogger #tbin #ttot #bubbles #girlswhotravel #lifestyleblogger #sheisnotlost
